Physiotherapy home visits in Parramatta

Apartment living and older cottages side by side, with very different falls risks in each.

Parramatta has changed enormously, and the housing tells the story. We visit original cottages in Harris Park and Rosehill with a step at the front and a garden someone still insists on managing, and we visit apartments in the CBD where the entire risk profile is a wet tiled bathroom and a lift.

Apartments are their own puzzle. Getting in requires building access sorted beforehand, and the program has to work in a space with no hallway to practise in. It is very doable, but it is not the same program as a house with a back yard, and pretending otherwise wastes everybody's time.

We cover Parramatta and the streets around it — Harris Park and Rosehill are all the same visit for us. Around fifteen minutes from our base in Guildford.

Local detail

Housing stock
CBD apartment towers alongside original cottages in Harris Park and Rosehill. Tiled bathroom floors and lift confidence matter more here than stairs.
Getting to you
For apartments we sort visitor parking and building access before the first visit, which is where a lot of home visits in Parramatta go wrong.
Nearest hospital
Westmead is a few minutes away, so a good share of Parramatta referrals come in the fortnight after a discharge, which is the window that matters most.
