We are already here
Our base is in Guildford, so a Cumberland referral does not sit in a queue waiting for someone to be in the area. Most of this council area is inside a ten-minute drive.
Cumberland is home. Our base is in Guildford, which means most visits across this council area are a ten-minute drive rather than an expedition, and it shows up in the small things: we can shuffle a time when someone has a bad morning, and we are not billing anyone for an hour of Parramatta Road.
The housing here shapes the work. Cumberland is full of post-war brick and fibro cottages with a step or two at the front, a long side path, and a bathroom that was never designed for a walking frame. Half of what we do in these homes is strength and balance; the other half is working out how to get safely from the bedroom to the back step without rearranging someone's whole house.
It is also one of the most multilingual places in Australia, and physiotherapy lands very differently when it is explained in the language someone thinks in. Care is available in Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese, and our written updates are made to be forwarded to whoever else in the family needs to read them.
These pages have the local detail — and the list isn’t exhaustive. If you’re between them, we come to you too.
We invoice the provider or plan manager directly, so the paperwork is ours rather than the family's.

A written progress update every quarter, in plain English, sent without being chased. Written to be dropped straight into a review rather than translated first.
Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese available. For a Cumberland caseload that often decides whether a program is followed or politely ignored.
