Physiotherapy home visits in Liverpool
A major hospital, a dense centre, and a lot of clients who start with us the week they come home.

Liverpool's centre is dense and getting denser, with apartment blocks around the station and the hospital sitting at the middle of everything. A large share of the people we see here are in the weeks after a discharge, when a program written on a ward meets a home that does not quite match it.
The apartment stock brings its own issues. Building access needs sorting before the first visit, there is rarely a hallway long enough to practise a proper walk, and a wet tiled bathroom is a bigger hazard than any staircase.

Local detail
- Nearest hospital
- Liverpool Hospital handles much of south-west Sydney's stroke and rehabilitation work. Post-discharge reconditioning at home is the most common reason people call from Liverpool.
- Housing stock
- Apartment blocks around the station alongside older houses further out. For apartments, wet tiled floors and lift confidence matter more than stairs.
- A goal worth working toward here
- Getting the length of Macquarie Mall and back, which is flat and sheltered but longer than most people estimate.
- Languages
- Arabic, Serbian, Vietnamese and Hindi are all widely spoken across Liverpool. Care is available directly in Vietnamese, Cantonese and Mandarin.
What we help with in Liverpool
- Rehab after hospital — reconditioning, post-surgical recovery and stroke rehab, picking up where the ward physio left off.
- NDIS physiotherapy — goal-based therapy for self- and plan-managed participants, at home or school. What to expect →
- Falls prevention & balance — assessment and progressive strength work in the rooms and steps where the risk actually lives. Two-minute falls-risk check →
- Aged care at home — funded through Support at Home (formerly Home Care Packages); physiotherapy is clinical care with no participant contribution. How it works →
