Physiotherapy home visits in Burwood
The eastern edge of where we travel, and a suburb of grand old houses with staircases to match.
Burwood is where our patch stops, and it is worth saying plainly rather than implying we go further. The housing is a mix of substantial Federation and interwar homes and newer apartment towers near the station, which are two entirely different physiotherapy problems.
The older houses have the staircases. They are frequently steep, often with a turn, and they were built for people who did not expect to be using them in their eighties. Where the bedrooms are upstairs, working out whether that is still safe is usually the most important thing we do on a first visit.
We cover Burwood and the streets around it — Burwood Heights are all the same visit for us.
